"Email or password did not match."

This message is the same whether the password was wrong or no account exists for that address. That is deliberate — a different message would let anyone test which email addresses have Orbit Axis accounts. Check the address for typos, then try a password reset.

Resetting your password

  1. On the sign-in screen, type your email address in the Email box.
  2. Choose Forgot your password?
  3. You will always see the same confirmation, whether or not an account exists — again, so the page cannot be used to discover who has one.
  4. Open the link in the email and choose a new password.
  5. You will be returned to sign-in. This is intended: a reset link should not also hand over a signed-in session.

Reset links are single-use and expire. If yours says it has expired or already been used, request a new one. If the email has not arrived after a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Email verification

If your Orbit Axis account requires email confirmation, you will see a message saying so after signing up. Open the link in that email, then sign in. Until it is confirmed, signing in will not work.

Creating a chart

Orbit needs a birth date, a birth time if you know it, and a birthplace chosen from the suggestion list. Typing a city name without picking a suggestion will not work — Orbit needs the coordinates behind the name to calculate anything.

If you do not know your birth time

Choose Unknown birth time. Orbit will calculate planetary positions from a midday default and will withhold your houses, Rising sign, and Midheaven rather than guessing them. Your Moon may also be slightly approximate. Orbit tells you this on the chart instead of hiding it.

A birth certificate is the most reliable source. A remembered time is usually fine for everything except a precise Rising sign.

What your readings are, and what they are not

Your daily reading, your chart, and your transits are calculated from real astronomy for the date, time, and place you gave. What they mean is interpretation, and interpretation is not fact.

Readings are for reflection and entertainment. They can be wrong, generic, or simply not resonate — that is normal and is not a fault to report.

Deleting your account

More → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE. It is permanent and immediate, and it cannot be undone or recovered — including by support. See how account deletion works.

Privacy requests

To ask what is stored about you, request a copy, or raise a concern, email not yet published. What Orbit stores and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting a security problem

Security reports are welcome and taken seriously. Email not yet published with what you found and how to reproduce it.

Please do not test against other people's accounts or real user data, and please give a reasonable chance to fix an issue before disclosing it publicly.

Common errors

Sending a useful error report

When Orbit shows an error it usually includes a reference — a short random code identifying that one request. Including it lets the problem be traced exactly.

The reference identifies a request, not you. It is safe to share, and it contains none of your birth details.

A good report has: what you were doing, what you expected, what happened, and the reference if there was one.
